Roll up your sleeves and get ready to bring a little Southern charm into your kitchen with this cozy and confidence-building Beginner Skill Class! Whether you’re brand new to cooking or just looking to master the classics, we’ll walk you step-by-step through the heart and soul of Southern comfort food.
🍗 Mama’s Fried Chicken – Learn how to season, bread, and fry juicy, golden-brown chicken that’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—just like Mama used to make.
🍞 Sausage Gravy & Biscuits – Perfect fluffy buttermilk biscuits from scratch and top them with rich, savory sausage gravy for a true Southern breakfast (or anytime!) favorite.
🍑 Peach Cobbler – Wrap up class with a warm, bubbly cobbler made with sweet peaches and a buttery, golden crust—served best with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
This class is all about building skills and boosting confidence while creating delicious, down-home dishes that bring people together. Come hungry and leave proud! 🤠🧡
Ticket: Valid for one person. To book for two people you will need to add a quantity of two to your cart.

Classes run time from 1 to 2 ½ hrs depending on guest arrival and recipe completion.
Any guests arriving 15 minutes past class start time will not be admitted with no refund. No leftovers will be allowed to be taken home. You will work in groups of four.
Corpus Christi Cooking Club recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with Corpus Christi Cooking Club before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class. Each guest will get a generous taste of the dish.
You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
Aprons will be provided
Some portions of the class will be done before guests arrive in order to ensure that the class finishes on time. This is a demo with hands-on elements. At the end of this class you will receive a recipe card so you can try out your newfound skills at home!
